Code S.T.A.R.S – Devlog #1 | Version 0.1

We released the first version of Code S.T.A.R.S on itch.io!
This version is a small prototype where we started testing the main gameplay systems.

What is in the game right now?

Movement

• Move with WASD

• Aim with the mouse

• Shoot with the mouse

• The player can already move and fight around the map.

Asteroids

• Asteroids spawn around the map

• They move toward the player

• Right now, they still use simple visuals and do not have final animations yet.

Scrap Upgrades

two scraps are currently in the game:

Motor Scrap

• Gives the player a dash/boost

Bullet Scrap

• Adds one more bullet when shooting

These systems are still being tested and do not fully work the way we want yet.

UI

Score counter added

At the moment, the score is the only UI element in the game.

What is missing?

We still need to add:

• Main menu
• Sounds and music
• Better animations and effects
• More upgrades
• More UI elements

Current Goal

Our main focus right now is improving the gameplay feel and adding more content.
